exploring mumbai for pav-bhaji

So yesterday was friday. I called my cousin After my office which is in borivali, and his office is in vikroli. I asked him dude, where to go.

He told, lets come to matunga central, you will get good pav-bhaji there. I think it was kings circle or maheshweri circle.
And I said wow, for 25 rs pav-bhaji we went all the way to matunga.

Reached there at 2230 and reached home at 0100 :D.

And at last we ended with awesome pav-bhaji, where pav is “lasan wala pav” then “eagle (goregaon) wala icecream { chiku and kesar flavor } 😛

जमीन पर चटाई बिछा रखी थी, ऐसा लग रहा था मानो पंगत मैं बैठ कर खाना खा रहे हो.
बस, फ़िर उसके बाद eagle wala ice-cream, अरे वही अपने गोरेगांव वाला eagle ice-cream. 😀

But we explored a lot that day. That is how we called as pure food junkies. 😛

Wow, nice weekend is waiting for us.

New to mumbai, but language is super cool here.

Even I have observed that I am using some of the phrases for my/our daily use.

यार लग रहा है loop मैं कुछ लोचा है …

यार, क्या deadline दिया है, मेरी तो फट रही है.

movie experience at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai.

Oh!! wow!!!
Maratha Mandir, This is the same place which set the record in “Guinness Book of World Records”. And we planned to watch the movie in this theater.

Till today a daily matinee show is running for movie “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” ( दिलवाले दुल्हनिया ले जाएँगे ). And this theater has set the record from running this movie from last 13 years. Yea I said 13 years. wow !! isn’t that fantastic.

People used to ask me, oh you are in mumbai and you have not seen the movie in great Maratha Mandir. 🙂 So we decided to go there.

How to reach maratha mandir – Go to Mumbai Central railway station -> if you are at local sub-urban station go to east side then come out from Mumbai Central Main station main gate. Just in front of mumbai central main gate you can see the Maratha Mandir Movie Hall.

Yea, we are very fond of movies and on every weekend we go to EROS at late night show, but this time we thought for Maratha Mandir. 🙂

So we decided to go there. Me, and my friends decided to watch the movie “rab ne bana di jodi”. And I must say when I entered in the movie hall, the experience was so fantastic. Still the rates are cheap, we were not able to get the ticked at regular price but we got it in “black”. We got the upper circle ticket at rs. 100, the actual price was I think under 50. And as the same as usual way people were selling the black ticket with the same old fashion “100 ka, 150 ka, bolo bolo”. Enabling the old memories to see the ticket with dark orange color and dark blue color. 🙂 Written the date, time stamp and govt tax calculation.

The hall is still with old style movie hall, the seats are good, hall was clean and good air conditioned. It gives a kind of experience that you are really in a movie hall and watching the movie. Movie started and people started whistling even me too 🙂 And this gives awesome experience, when you do the same thing in multiplex this is treated as cheap 😦

The whole experience was awesome, nostalgic. And we decided to come again to watch DDLJ movie on any weekend day at matinee show.

So waiting for what go and watch, the old movie halls gives good experience to watch movie.

Wow, this city is cool. I wanted to work in this city and I am here.
Its been > 3 months here and I am feeling good here.

• Now no more ruby learning. Now I dont like ruby. So stop reading. Plz do not ask me why. 🙂

Now this time the barcamp is with the new idea as collactive.

I am intrested for 2 things as summary.

• BCB4_Photo_Collective
  • I am a junk photographer. In photos I live on this Flickr page. Or you can search “ganuullu” this is my userid for flickr. I just love photos so this time from barcamp I will learn the creatives ways to take photos and some tips and tricks for photography. 🙂
• BCB4_BangPypers
  • I love Python. Sorry I do not know this language but I still like this language. When I was doing my MCA 6th sem intern project in IIM-A then some one gave me this name. From that time I am fascinated for this language. I did some small program for learning this language. Now in this event I will understand the depth of this language. And here I will get the community for the help. huff!! I have lots of things to learn in Python.

And let see what other collacitve are usefull. 🙂

spider man -3 , my junk thoughts

SpiderMan – 3

Oh! my god at last all the things are cool down and the movie came in the market. I have seen the movie on friday on the release day at nite 2200 IST show at innovative , bangalore.

And after watching that I got only one stance – “Are yaar maja nahi aaya yaar”.

I think for full 2 hr and 15 min it was mix up of what , of some thing. I think the movie was very long, the story was confusing and some time boring.

I can remember some indian touch also in the movie. he he he … We can put some indian dialouge in that movie that will fit the character too as.. “kutte main tera khoon pee jaunga” , “agar ma ka doodh piya hai to samne aa” “dost! main aa gaya hu, tu chinta mat kar” .. so I think we can simulate all the sentances in the movie.

But it was fun with the animation , the spider main will move here from there zoooom–zoooom.. huff. 🙂

some loop holes were also there , from where the evil spider man came , how come only the hero is the target not the another man. ( oh ! I can think about the indian cinema )

But it was OK. One can go and enjoy some 2-3 hours there and spend your week – end. 🙂

My first trip to god’s own country

I am in bangalore from last 2 yr and I have not visited kerla this is not fair. So this time I have decided to go to kerla and really I found this is god’s own country the meaning exists.

Me , anoop and subramanyam ( my x-colleagues of stylus )  we planned to go to kerla and to attend our friend vinnod’s marriage. How to go no reservation and nothing and we reached to mejestic ( bangalore roadways bus staion) .

Now this is known as real fight when you have to go to kerla ( some thing like 14 hrs journy ) and without reservation but any way this is like fun. Atlast we made is successfully and we reached to the destination place. See how we reached tehre —

• bangalore to selam ( 2100 to 0300 )
• selam to coimbatore ( 0300 to 0700 )
• coimbatore to pallakad ( 0700 to 0900)
• pallakad to trissur ( 0900 to 1100)
• trissur to tripyarar ( 1100 to 1300)

And the surroundings from pallakad to the place is nice , is really very nice. Since I am from rajasthan I have never seen so much green and more green ever.

We have attended the reciption of my friends marriage and then headed to beach now this is not the famous beach but situated in triyarar somewhare. The beach with full of coconut trees and no – body , since it was the beach in the village so no crowd and only we and the sea and some 1-2 villagers and 1-2 boates and lots of water and more water. 🙂 🙂 🙂  Then we have some round of photo session and sea bath and moved to our hotel.

Next day we ready at 0900 at start for Guruvayur temple – 29kms away from Thrissur, this is also one of the most sacred pilgrimage centers in the state. The presiding deity is Lord Krishna. Legend has it that Guru, the preceptor of Gods and Vayu, the God of wind, created the temple.

 

This is the awesome place , the rule is you can not wear shirt pant. You are only allowed in kind of dhoti and above that nothing and for ladies only white/normal sari. We had nice darshan of lord krishna , a very old and rare tample. Then we spread some more here and there and headed to again bus staion to come to bangalore.

In the summary I think we have a great visit to kerla. I know still so many nice and more nice places are remaing , but atleast we have touched the kerla and have seen some ( 1-2 ) places. Things what I found unique there is —

• in evening all hindu homes will put a dia in front of main gate and do the prayer.
• on an average out of 10 people 7 weares the lungi either white or redish.
• if you travel 20 km also you wont find the empty place , every where either you will see the home or tample ot church or trees or back water stream The density is much.
• good looking girls having umbrella with them either it’s raining or not. 🙂
• lemon juice in all the juice places and the taste is so good.
• bus drivers are like pilots , they scared me a lot. 🙂

This is the nice trip to the god’s own country. I had lots of fun there.
