exploring mumbai for pav-bhaji

So yesterday was friday. I called my cousin After my office which is in borivali, and his office is in vikroli. I asked him dude, where to go.

He told, lets come to matunga central, you will get good pav-bhaji there. I think it was kings circle or maheshweri circle.
And I said wow, for 25 rs pav-bhaji we went all the way to matunga.

Reached there at 2230 and reached home at 0100 .

And at last we ended with awesome pav-bhaji, where pav is “lasan wala pav” then “eagle (goregaon) wala icecream { chiku and kesar flavor }

जमीन पर चटाई बिछा रखी थी, ऐसा लग रहा था मानो पंगत मैं बैठ कर खाना खा रहे हो.
बस, फ़िर उसके बाद eagle wala ice-cream, अरे वही अपने गोरेगांव वाला eagle ice-cream.

But we explored a lot that day. That is how we called as pure food junkies.

movie experience at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai.

Oh!! wow!!!
Maratha Mandir, This is the same place which set the record in “Guinness Book of World Records”. And we planned to watch the movie in this theater.

Till today a daily matinee show is running for movie “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” ( दिलवाले दुल्हनिया ले जाएँगे ). And this theater has set the record from running this movie from last 13 years. Yea I said 13 years. wow !! isn’t that fantastic.

People used to ask me, oh you are in mumbai and you have not seen the movie in great Maratha Mandir. So we decided to go there.

How to reach maratha mandir – Go to Mumbai Central railway station -> if you are at local sub-urban station go to east side then come out from Mumbai Central Main station main gate. Just in front of mumbai central main gate you can see the Maratha Mandir Movie Hall.

Yea, we are very fond of movies and on every weekend we go to EROS at late night show, but this time we thought for Maratha Mandir.

So we decided to go there. Me, and my friends decided to watch the movie “rab ne bana di jodi”. And I must say when I entered in the movie hall, the experience was so fantastic. Still the rates are cheap, we were not able to get the ticked at regular price but we got it in “black”. We got the upper circle ticket at rs. 100, the actual price was I think under 50. And as the same as usual way people were selling the black ticket with the same old fashion “100 ka, 150 ka, bolo bolo”. Enabling the old memories to see the ticket with dark orange color and dark blue color. Written the date, time stamp and govt tax calculation.

The hall is still with old style movie hall, the seats are good, hall was clean and good air conditioned. It gives a kind of experience that you are really in a movie hall and watching the movie. Movie started and people started whistling even me too And this gives awesome experience, when you do the same thing in multiplex this is treated as cheap

The whole experience was awesome, nostalgic. And we decided to come again to watch DDLJ movie on any weekend day at matinee show.

So waiting for what go and watch, the old movie halls gives good experience to watch movie.
